Growing up working for his dad’s family-owned business, Terrell quickly grew in passion for finance and helping small business owners. Terrell graduated from Winthrop University in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in economics and concentration in financial planning. Prior to joining Carroll Financial, he worked for a small independent firm.
With the tremendous amount of noise in the financial industry, Terrell serves his clients by helping them to see the right perspective, which is based on tried and true principles. These provide the foundation for every plan and are used to map out a financial course of action that focuses on the details that matter.
Terrell has learned that each client presents unique details, concerns, and financial complexity. Because of that, he devotes time and intentionality to each relationship. The main reason meaningful relationships are important to Terrell is his faith in Jesus Christ. Terrell also incorporates Biblical principles of money and stewardship into his practice. Investing, debt, and giving are just a few areas of finance that Scripture directly addresses, and he feels that these principles benefit all of his clients regardless of their religious views.
Giving, an area of finance that is often overlooked, is especially important to Terrell. Giving can be in many forms, whether it is time, energy, money, or other resources. Commonly, giving sparks people to think of charitable gifts, but it can also look like gifting to the next generation(s). Terrell wants to strategically help clients give charitably as well as serve as a multigenerational planner to help smooth the process of gifting to the next generation.
Terrell currently lives in Rock Hill, S.C. He is passionate about his local church and strives to use his gifts to glorify God in all he does. Terrell also enjoys reading, playing golf, and many other outdoor activities.
